Plain-language summary: PastRush is an educational app with a large free tier and an optional one-time Founder Lifetime purchase. It stores your progress only on your device, writes every fact in its own words and links it to its source, and uses only original art and music. Survival content is general information, not a substitute for training or emergency services.
Email simpletonfacts@gmail.com. We read every message and usually reply within 2 business days. Please tell us your device (for example iPad Air, iOS 26) and what you were doing when something went wrong.
On iPhone or iPad: open the Explorer screen and tap Restore Purchases, or tap Restore on the Founder Lifetime screen. You must be signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. On the web atlas: use the same browser and device you bought on, then tap Restore purchases.
Founder Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing renews. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
On iPhone and iPad (PastRush: History Detective), Founder Lifetime is shared through Apple Family Sharing with up to five other family members. There are no family codes in the iOS app. Each person's progress and Notebook stay on their own device; nothing is synced between devices.
Tap Cases at the bottom of the globe to open the 12 investigations. Cases 1–6 are free; cases 7–12 can be previewed and open with Founder Lifetime, a one-time purchase. Cases, the Notebook, the Daily Evidence Check and stories work offline. The satellite map and nearby places need an internet connection.
Class mode (Explorer menu) hides purchases and outside links on shared devices. It does not unlock paid content.
PastRush has no accounts, so progress is saved on the device itself. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or deleting the app removes it. Purchases are never lost: restore them as above.
Turn on Class mode in the Explorer menu (or open pastrush.rork.app/class). It hides every purchase button and outside link, and lets you set the grade level and content notes. For school licences or questions, email us.
Every fact has a 'How do we know this?' button with its sources and a Report a mistake link. You can also email the item title and your source. We check every report and fix confirmed errors quickly.
Read-aloud is built in, Reduce Motion is respected, sounds can be turned off, and every map can be zoomed with buttons or the keyboard instead of pinching.
