Plain-language summary: PastRush is an educational app with a large free tier and an optional one-time Founder Lifetime purchase. It stores your progress only on your device, writes every fact in its own words and links it to its source, and uses only original art and music. Survival content is general information, not a substitute for training or emergency services.
PastRush ("we", "us") provides PastRush: History Detective, a history investigation game for iPhone and iPad, and the free PastRush web atlas with related learning tools (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service is provided for general education and entertainment. It is not professional, medical, legal, safety, financial or religious advice.
Survival and first-aid content summarises guidance from public bodies (such as the CDC, FEMA/Ready.gov, NOAA and the American Red Cross). It is not a substitute for hands-on training. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
We work hard to make content accurate and every claim is labelled with its evidence type and source. History is continually re-examined, dates are often approximate, and scholars disagree. We do not guarantee that all content is complete, current or error-free. Present-day events reflect information available on the date shown.

You agree not to misuse the Service: no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer for harmful purposes, or scrape it at scale; no unlawful use.
The PastRush name, design, illustrations, music, code and original text belong to us or our licensors. Linked third-party sources remain the property of their owners; we link to them for citation and do not claim ownership. Facts themselves are not owned by anyone; our summaries of them, including news events, are written independently in our own words and credit the original reporting. In PastRush: History Detective, cases 1 to 6, the Daily Evidence Check, the Notebook, Time Threads unlocked by solved cases and the free globe collections are free. Founder Lifetime is an optional one-time purchase that adds cases 7 to 12, all 19 globe collections with 245 stories, and the Master tier in every challenge. Every locked case can be previewed before buying.
Founder Lifetime is a non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription: it is charged once to your Apple Account, never renews and has no recurring charges. The price is shown in the app in your local currency before you pay. It can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple Account and shared through Apple Family Sharing; progress is not shared.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Class mode hides purchase screens; it does not unlock paid content.
The core atlas, the free era maps (with their close-up secrets, Find Pip and I Spy), all games and all classroom lessons are free. Founder Lifetime is an optional one-time purchase on the web atlas that adds premium era maps, double XP, Pro Chronicle Path rewards, a golden daily chest and a streak shield, plus Atlas Styles. It is not a subscription and never renews.
One Pro map is free for everyone each day (it rotates daily), so you can try a whole premium map before buying anything. Atlas Styles is an optional one-time purchase that adds 4 extra colour styles for the era maps on your device. It is purely cosmetic. In-game coins and gold sparkles are earned only by playing and are never sold.
Payments are processed by our payment partners (RevenueCat and its processors on the web; Apple on iOS). Refunds follow the applicable store's policy and your statutory rights.
The Service links to external websites for sources. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
The Service is designed to be suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children; see the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for how you use information from the Service. Do not attempt any survival, medical or outdoor technique in a real situation based only on this app; seek certified training (for example, first-aid and CPR courses from the Red Cross or your national equivalent).
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
If you believe content in the Service infringes your copyright, email simpletonfacts@gmail.com with the work, the location in the Service, and your contact details. We will review and remove infringing material promptly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of PastRush is established, without overriding mandatory consumer protections where you live. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
